Built on Real-World Implementation

We started glossy raft in 2014 after watching too many sustainability strategies gather dust in boardrooms instead of generating value on rooftops.

Team working on energy project

The Problem We Kept Seeing

Organizations would commission detailed energy audits, receive comprehensive reports, then struggle to turn recommendations into deployed systems. The gap between analysis and action remained frustratingly wide.

Consultants who understood the technical side often lacked implementation experience. Installation teams focused on deployment without strategic context. Nobody was bridging the complete journey from current state assessment to operational renewable systems.

A Different Model

We structured glossy raft around continuous involvement from initial audit through to system commissioning. Our team doesn't hand off recommendations—we stay engaged until energy is flowing through deployed infrastructure.

Technical Foundation

Electrical engineers and energy analysts who have actually installed what they design.

Financial Modeling

Conservative projections based on Australian conditions, not manufacturer specifications.

Implementation Experience

Over 380 completed projects from 15kW residential to 850kW commercial installations.

How We Approach Projects

Every engagement begins with data collection, not assumptions. We analyze at least three months of usage patterns before making any recommendations.

Peak demand timing matters more than total consumption. A facility that draws heavily between 2-5 PM has fundamentally different solar potential than one with morning peaks. We design for your actual patterns, not theoretical averages.

Implementation timelines account for grid connection realities, permit processing, and weather windows. Our schedules reflect what actually happens in Australian projects, including the typical delays.

Regional Expertise

We've deployed systems across Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. Each region presents distinct challenges: grid stability differences, varying renewable energy targets, and different installer availability.

Northern Queensland installations require different panel specifications than southern Victoria due to temperature coefficients and humidity. These details matter when systems need to perform for 25 years.

We maintain relationships with regional installers, electricians, and grid connection specialists. This network enables realistic implementation timelines instead of optimistic guesses.

Performance Monitoring

Every major installation includes 18 months of performance monitoring. We track actual generation against projections and optimize system parameters based on observed behavior.

Most issues that impact long-term performance emerge within the first year. We address them during the monitoring period rather than leaving clients to troubleshoot independently.

After 18 months, clients receive a comprehensive performance report and recommendations for any adjustments that would improve long-term outcomes.

What We Don't Do

We don't push specific manufacturers or technologies. If a hybrid solar-battery system doesn't make financial sense for your usage pattern, we'll say so explicitly.

We don't take on projects where the proposed timeline conflicts with realistic implementation. Rushed deployments create problems that take years to resolve.

We don't promise specific savings percentages. We provide conservative ranges based on actual project data from similar installations in your region.

Work With Us

Initial consultations involve reviewing your energy data and discussing what outcomes are realistic for your situation. No pressure, no generic pitches.
